LUNA abortion centres vzw and the city of Ghent are joining forces with Ghent hospitals, general practitioners and pharmacists for a trial project on emergency contraception. Ghent is one of the hotspots in Flanders when it comes to selling emergency contraception. As emergency contraception, an emergency IUD is the most effective way to prevent pregnancy. With this project, LUNA vzw and its partners want to make the emergency IUD more accessible to prevent unwanted pregnancies and short- and long-term abortions.
